Hannah Donart, MPH

Interim Director

Hannah Donart is the interim director for the Collaborative on Health and the Environment. She holds a Master in Public Health with a concentration in Environmental Health Science and Policy from George Washington University. She has worked with policy makers, regulators, scientists, public health professionals, medical practitioners, and community activists in Washington, DC, Maryland, and nationally advocating for regulatory reform and health-based policies to provide safer physical environments for children in public schools. She has been involved in policy and regulatory creation and reform to implement primary exposure prevention measures to prevent exposure to lead in drinking water. She is also worked on legislations to improve indoor air quality in Maryland, and safer cleaning and disinfecting in schools and daycare facilities. Her background includes work in international climate and energy policy at Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. During her undergraduate career at University of California Berkeley, Hannah also interned in the Health Program at Environmental Defense Fund, working on climate mitigation and chemical regulatory policy.
