Gulf War Syndrome
Causes [strength of evidence]:
Notes
The case definition of Gulf War Syndrome remains somewhat broad as do the potential causes. Symptoms may include chronic fatigue, joint and muscle aches, and gastrointestinal symptoms. Some studies implicate co-exposures to insecticides and a nerve-gas protective agent (PB) as contributory. There is evidence that pesticides, caffeine and adrenergic agents potentiate the effects of PB.
