Dr Grandjean: This idea of creating a formal classification for reproductive and developmental toxicants is a very important one (parallel to that for carcinogens). Do you have a sense of how this could be moved forward? Are there people working already in this direction?

Regarding the lifelong effects you describe (some of which are subtle), what is the best peer-reviewed evidence you can cite as evidence for these health effects? Such a list of articles would be very useful for our work in informing policy-makers.
In terms of collecting further data on these effects, is it possible given the inadequacy of our current environmental health tracking programs?

Dr. Grandjean: At the end of the statement, the signatories call for a precautionary approach to chemicals policy decision-making. To what extent do you think the REACH directive moves us in that direction? Where could it be improved in this aspect?

Dr: Grandjean: While the Fraoe Island statement is a wonderful regarding developmental exposures, I was wondering if you could address the ethical responsbilites that we have to children and protecting human health, perhaps as a uniting factor for forging action to prevent exposures.
