National Brain Tumor Foundation

Whereas: The National Brain Tumor Foundation has a 20 year history of being a leader in efforts to support people affected by brain tumors and to fund worthy research projects.

Whereas: The National Brain Tumor Foundation recognizes that understanding the causes of brain tumors is an important step in helping to prevent brain tumors.

Whereas: The National Brain Tumor Foundation supports and has provided funding for scientific - based epidemiological research.

Therefore, be it resolved: The Board of Directors of the National Brain Tumor Foundation reaffirms the Foundation's mission to provide information and support to brain tumor patients and their family members and friends, and to improve treatments and find a cure for brain tumors through science and education by
 
1) supporting research and related activities which will lead to the identification of environmental factors which may be related to brain tumor incidence and mortality and
 
2) developing the necessary steps to eradicate or ameliorate these environmental factors so that the National Brain Tumor Foundation's mission may be met.
