The William Bingham Foundation (http://wbinghamfoundation.org), which makes grants to nonprofit organizations in Cleveland and other areas across the United States, is accepting applications for its 2008 funding priority, which is to assist organizations working to increase access to health care and services for low- income breast cancer patients, particularly in Cleveland, Ohio, and Washington, D.C. This focus is in effect only for 2008.
Qualifying organizations will have no prior relationship with the William Bingham Foundation, and projects should seek to improve healthcare access through public education, diagnosis, treatment, and other means.
Program activities can include:
- breast cancer prevention and education programs
- medical services for low-income women diagnosed with breast cancer
- support services for low-income breast cancer patients
The maximum grant amount is $25,000. The deadline for applications is April 30, 2008.
